Mitch Garver Set To Miss Third Straight Game
8 months agoSeattle Mariners catcher/designated hitter Mitch Garver (back) remains sidelined for Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox due to back spasms. Garver said on Friday that he did not think the ailment would be a long-term issue, but it is a bit of a concern that he has now missed three straight games. The slugging 33-year-old went 1-for-4 in the Mariners' season-opener and has not been able to suit up since. In Garver's absence, Mitch Haniger is worth a look in deeper leagues as he continues to bat cleanup for Seattle. Haniger has gone 3-for-10 with one home run and three RBI to start the season.
