The MLB regular season is finally here. After a long offseason filled with plenty of surprises, the MLB season will officially begin on Thursday, March 28.
Fans already got a taste of regular season action when the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers opened the season on March 20 in Seoul, South Korea. The Dodgers won the first game 5-2, while the Padres got revenge in the second game and won 15-11 in a thriller.

Opening Day MLB Schedule
Opening Day is officially set for Thursday with 15 different matchups set. The Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets will officially kick off the slate of games at 1:10 p.m. ET. Then, the Chicago Cubs will battle the defending champion Texas Rangers at 7:35 p.m. ET on ESPN before the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks close out the slate at 10:10 p.m. ET.

There will be more than 12 hours of baseball to open the season on Thursday, which happens to be any baseball fan's dream. Those three matchups above are just a taste of what's to come on the Opening Day slate. Below you can find the full list of games that will take place to open the season.

MLB Opening Day Weekend
All 30 MLB teams will play on Thursday before some teams receive an off day on Friday. There are only eight games set for Friday with the Blue Jays and Rays kicking off the day with a 6:50 p.m. ET start time and the Cardinals and Dodgers ending the day with a 10:10 p.m. ET start time.

- New York Yankees @ Houston Astros (8:10 p.m. ET)

- Boston Red Sox @ Seattle Mariners (9:40 p.m. ET)

- St. Louis Cardinals @Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10 p.m. ET)
After Friday's games, every team will play on Saturday and Sunday to close out the first "week" of the MLB season. The Padres and Dodgers will have played the most games (six) following Sunday's contests, while 14 teams will have only played three games by then.
