Georgia tight end Brock Bowers was arguably the top tight end in college football over the past few years. Bowers was outstanding his freshman year, totaling 56 receptions for 882 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.
Unfortunately, his production slightly slipped in 2022 as defenses started to game plan for the star tight end. Bowers had 63 receptions for 942 receiving yards but only seven scores. However, he did have nine rushing attempts for 109 yards and three touchdowns that season. Last year, the former Bulldog missed time with a high ankle sprain that required tightrope surgery.
Yet, Bowers had 56 receptions for 714 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. Over a 15-game pace, the star tight end would have had 84 receptions for 1,071 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2023. While Bowers is a first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, where could the Georgia star land?

What is Brock Bowers’ Draft Range?
Many consider the tight end position a non-prime spot. Yet, multiple elite tight end prospects got drafted in the top-10 picks, including Kyle Pitts in 2021 and T.J. Hockenson in 2019.
The Bulldog should be a top-10 pick. His draft range starts at fifth overall to the Los Angeles Chargers, potentially as the first non-quarterback off the board. Meanwhile, Bowers’ floor is the Indianapolis Colts, with the 15th overall pick in the first round.

Which Teams Could Draft Brock Bowers?
While the Chargers could take Bowers with the fifth overall pick, that seems unlikely. Los Angeles has a massive need at wide receiver and reportedly could trade back on draft day. A more realistic landing spot for the star tight end is the New York Jets.
The Jets filled their need on the offensive line in free agency, signing Tyron Smith and John Simpson. They also traded for Morgan Moses, giving them three new starters on the offensive line. New York added Mike Williams after the Chargers released the veteran, solving their need for a wide receiver opposite Garrett Wilson.
Some will argue that the Jets should trade back or draft an offensive lineman despite their moves in free agency. However, Bowers would give Aaron Rodgers a difference-maker at tight end. More importantly, New York is the heavy betting favorite to select the Georgia star.
