Why You Should Limit Your Exposure To Joey Logano In DFS This Weekend
8 months agoOn Saturday afternoon, Joey Logano qualified 35th for Sunday's EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuits of the Americas (COTA). Although Logano is widely considered among NASCAR's elite drivers, his 2024 results do not reflect this. With two DNFs and an average finish of 25th, the 2022 Cup Series champion currently sits 30th in the playoff standings. Given his tremendous talent we fully expect the Team Penske sensation to break out of this slump at some point, but don't expect it to happen this weekend at COTA. Despite finishing third at this track in the 2021 race, in his two starts in the NextGen car, his best finish is 28th, averaging a disastrous -6.4 points on DraftKings. Although his overall performance on road courses is better than his history at COTA suggests, his results are still underwhelming. In the 11 road course races in the NextGen car, the 17-year Cup veteran has an average finish of 16.54. Excluding the two COTA races, the average finish does improve, but only slightly, as the average finish jumps to 13.66. Between his early season struggles, his lackluster results on road courses, and that he only had the 19th fastest speed in practice (93.502 MPH), it is recommended that you limit your exposure (5%) to the No. 22 when building your DFS lineups this weekend.
