9 months agoThe Washington Commanders announced on Thursday that they have signed free-agent cornerback James Pierre to an undisclosed deal. Pierre entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic in 2020 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and spent the last four seasons in the Steel City. The 27-year-old defensive back has a total of 94 tackles (71 solo), two interceptions, eight passes defended, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 66 total games (two starts) for the Steelers. Pierre has mostly contributed on special teams so far in his NFL career and will likely continue to do the same as he moves to D.C. and the NFC in 2024.
