Stay Away From Garrick Higgo At Valspar
8 months agoFantasy managers should pay close attention to Garrick Higgo news leading up Thursday tee times. The 24-year-old South African withdrew in the second round of The Players Championship last week due to a wrist injury, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him withdraw from the Valspar Championship as a result. Even if he does choose to tee off, he offers little upside heading into Innisbrook. Higgo had only one top-10 finish in 33 starts last season, and he's yet to finish inside of the top-15 in his 12 Tour starts so far this season. He's also lost strokes on approach in nine of his last 10 measured starts, and that is a recipe for disaster at Copperhead. There are plenty of golfers with higher upside around Higgo and his $6,400 DraftKings price tag, and the injury risk is not worth any potential reward for fantasy managers.
