Patrick Kane Nets Overtime Winner Tuesday
9 months agoDetroit Red Wings winger Patrick Kane scored the overtime winner on Tuesday night versus the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets. Desperate for points, the Wings flirted with disaster on Tuesday, trailing the lowly Blue Jackets into the dying seconds of the game before Lucas Raymond scored to tie it with just 13 seconds to go. Kane would bury the overtime winner just 48 seconds into the extra frame. The winner was Kane's 15th goal of the season and he added a pair of assists, giving him 38 points in 38 games after signing a one-year deal with the Red Wings midway through the season following hip resurfacing surgery. The Red Wings improved to 35-28-6 on the season, good for the second and final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
