Can Bubba Wallace Return Value In DFS This Weekend?
9 months agoAfter recording the third-fastest speed during Saturday's practice (126.922), Bubba Wallace followed it up by qualifying ninth in Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. In the first two races of 2024, Wallace looked like a contender for the NASCAR championship, finishing fifth in both races. In the two races that followed, his results were much less impressive, as he failed to crack the top 15 during NASCAR's West Coast swing. While a return to the southeast should be welcome news to fans of 23XI, unfortunately, Bristol has not been one of Wallace's better tracks. Since 2022, the eight-year Cup veteran has led just six laps, has an average finish of 21.5 and an average DraftKings score of 15.50 when racing on Bristol's concrete. At a starting position that offers limited upside in terms of place differential, and given that he has struggled to lead laps at this track throughout his Cup career, it is difficult to see a path for the No. 23 to return value in DFS this weekend.
