Cal Raleigh Scratched On Saturday
8 months agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh was scratched from Saturday's starting lineup due to a bruised heel. The move was precautionary in nature and it's reported that he would have suited up if this was a regular-season contest. The switch-hitter led all big-league backstops with 30 home runs last season while he hit .232 with 78 runs and 75 RBI alongside a .762 OPS across 145 appearances a season ago. His elite defense combined with his big bat will ensure serious playing time in the 2024 season. ATC projects Raleigh to hit .226 with 26 home runs, 71 RBI, and a .753 OPS across 509 trips to the plate in the 2024 campaign.
