Aaron Judge Unlikely To Play Saturday
9 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (abdomen, oblique) will "probably not" return to Grapefruit League action on Saturday, according to manager Aaron Boone. The skipper added that Judge has "plenty of runway" to be ready for Opening Day on March 28 on the road against the Houston Astros. Judge didn't take batting practice with the rest of the team on Friday, but he still hit in the batting cage and continues to downplay his injuries at spring training. The 31-year-old former American League MVP and five-time All-Star said he'd be playing if it were the regular season, and the Yankees doesn't seem to be very concerned either. Judge should be fine for Opening Day, but fantasy managers should have doubts about the top-10 pick's durability, especially since he's expected to start in center field in the first half of the season for the Bombers.
