It's Conference Championship week, which means plenty of afternoon basketball over the next few days and the turnaround on slates dwindles. Wednesday is our biggest day of the week this week with the major conference tournaments beginning in earnest today. We have 19 games split on two slates today on DraftKings. We'll go with the early seven-game slate first, then graduate to the dozen night games.
We start in D.C. with the ACC giving us Florida State-Virginia Tech and Notre Dame-Wake Forest. The Big 12 in Kansas City gives us Central Florida against BYU to open. Oklahoma and TCU are next for a de facto automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Big East gets going with Xavier and Butler in the Garden. We close this out in Vegas with the first two games of the Pac-12 tournament. USC and Washington go first followed by Oregon State and UCLA to close this slate.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/13/24, starting at noon EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.
Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Sean Pedulla, Virginia Tech ($8.6K)
Pedulla closed the regular season on a heater. It wasn't as hot as the one in January, but he still averaged 38.9 DraftKings points per game over the last five games of the season. Pedulla was really consistent against Florida State this year, putting up 31 DraftKings points and 30.5 DraftKings points against them. His price is high enough that 30 is a bit of a disappointment, but neither of those Florida State games came during a hot streak. Pedulla has a high floor and his ceiling is still in the 50s.
Markus Burton, Notre Dame ($7.8K)
On paper, this isn't a good matchup for Burton. When did we last listen to paper, anyway? Burton has at least 35 DraftKings points in seven of the last nine games and at least 30 in all but the North Carolina game since January 27. Burton has gotten better as the year went on. He just had a big game against Georgia Tech to get to this point and put up 49.75 DraftKings points in the first game against Wake.
Darin Green Jr., Florida State ($6K)
Green closed the season strong with 42 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the last two games against Miami and Pitt. Florida State has had a revolving door of guards throughout the season, but Green's performance against Pitt earned him big minutes against Miami as well. Green is trending upward at the right time and should be the focal point of this offense again.
Braeden Shrewsberry, Notre Dame ($4.8K)
Shrewsberry has worked his way into a prominent role on his father's team, but it isn't nepotism. He got there through good shooting and solid defense. Shrewsberry's lack of peripherals keeps the floor low, but the ceiling is in the 30s. You rarely see that in this price range. He put up 20 DraftKings points on Wake at the end of February. I would expect that he ends up in that range again.
Also consider: Kobe Johnson, USC ($8.5K); Koren Johnson, Washington ($7.6K); Lazar Stefanovic, UCLA ($7.1K); Milos Uzan, Oklahoma ($6.2K); Dexter Akanno, Oregon State ($5.6K); Le'Tre Darthard, Oklahoma ($4.7K); Bronny James, USC ($4.5K);

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Jamir Watkins, Florida State ($8.5K)
Foul trouble and general bullying led to a subpar outing against Pitt, but he bounced back with 46.75 DraftKings points on Miami to end the regular season. Watkins closed the season with at least 30 DraftKings points in seven of the last nine contests. One of those was a 49.5 DraftKings points onslaught in Blacksburg. I'm expecting a big game out of Watkins again today.
Tyler Bilodeau, Oregon State ($7.2K)
I don't usually run guys at UCLA, but it's hard to ignore how well Bilodeau played down the stretch. He closed the season with at least 25 DraftKings points in seven straight games. He was strong in both games against the Bruins as well with 58.5 DraftKings points in 59 minutes. If he grabs us a fantasy point per minute again, we're in for a good day.
Tae Davis, Notre Dame ($5.5K)
Davis has at least 20 DraftKings points in four straight games and five of the last six. The game in which he missed the mark was a foul-plagued 23 minutes against Wake...but he still scored 18.5 DraftKings points. If Davis can stay out of foul trouble, he could flirt with 30 today. That's the kind of upside I want in this range. The solid floor is just a bonus.
Kachi Nzeh, Xavier ($4.7K)
Nzeh enjoyed a nice stretch at the end of February and the beginning of March, but poor games against Marquette bookended that run. I chalk that up more to a bad matchup with Marquette than anything the freshman did or didn't do. He put up 17.25 DraftKings points against Butler just a week ago. I'll take that for the price.
Also consider: Keion Brooks Jr., Washington ($8.6K); Adem Bona, UCLA ($7.9K); Jalon Moore, Oklahoma ($7.6K); DJ Rodman, USC ($7.4K); Efton Reid III, Wake Forest ($7K); Jalen Thomas, Butler ($6.1K); Ibrahima Diallo, Central Florida ($5.8K); Aly Khalifa, BYU ($5K); C.J. Walker, Central Florida ($4.9K); Joshua Morgan, USC ($4.5K); Kebba Njie, Notre Dame ($3.9K)
