The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER,' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 8.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Kyle Kuzma OVER 2.5 3-PT Made - Typically, in these Prizepicks exercises, I stick with one "demon" prop, which we've gone over every week since its inception as a feature. However, we went with three demon picks on Friday due to some juicy and obtainable props. Starting this exciting day, Kyle Kuzma needs to cover the over on 2.5 three-point shots made. Kuzma averaged three 3PT conversions in the Washington Wizards' previous five matches. Kuzma recorded three shots from deep against the fourth-ranked defensive rating Orlando Magic on March 6.
The Wizards play the Charlotte Hornets on Friday evening, which might as well be called "the matchup of league indifference." I envision Kuzma catching fire from deep against a team that ranks 25th in the NBA regarding opponents' three-point conversions. I suggest taking the over on 2.5 3PT shots made for Kuzma.
Jalen Brunson OVER 7.5 Assists - While available for bets on PrizePicks, All-Star guard Jalen Brunson isn't precisely set to suit up against the Orlando Magic on Friday night. Currently listed as questionable due to a knee contusion, Brunson is not a sure shot to play for the first time since suffering said injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 3. However, if Brunson suits up, I believe the 7.5 ASTs line is rather low, especially considering the All-Star guard's recent history.
Brunson surpassed the 7.5 ASTs mark in three of his last five performances. Aside from recent outings, Brunson recorded over seven ASTs in 22 games for the 2023-2024 season. In closing, I say Brunson covers the over on 7.5 ASTs.
Brandon Ingram OVER 22.5 Points - To finish the demon prop bets on Friday's NBA schedule, Brandon Ingram must score over 22.5 PTs. Such a feat seems plausible, especially considering New Orleans faces the 26th-ranked defensive rating of the Philadelphia 76ers. Before the 12-PT performance vs. the Toronto Raptors, Ingram scored 66 PTs in two games. Taking the lead regarding scoring duties, averaging 23.3 PTs in his previous eight outings, Ingram's recent aggression towards the rim shows in the 6.8 free throw attempts.

Ingram will get easy looks against Philadephia, leading me to believe he covers the over on 22.5 PTs on Friday.
Jimmy Butler UNDER 28.5 PTS+ASTS - Wrapping up Friday's PrizePicks festivities, Jimmy Butler must record under a combined 28.5 PTs and ASTs. Playing in the second game of a back-to-back schedule, the 34-year-old wing must attempt to overthrow the Oklahoma City Thunder, who hold the fifth-best defensive rating in the league. Butler sits high in my mental rankings of players who tone it down in back-to-back situations.

Admittedly, Butler hit the over on a combined 28.5 PTs and ASTs in three of his last five games. Oddly, Butler only recorded a combined 18 PTs and ASTs against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. Doubling down on bad Butler games, facing the Thunder at home seems like a costly battle for a 34-year-old veteran whose recent scoring load suggests a short-term regression in production. For as much as I don't like betting against Butler, I say to take the under.
