Daulton Varsho Drawing More Walks This Spring
9 months agoToronto Blue Jays left fielder Daulton Varsho went 3-for-3 with three RBI in his first game this Spring Training back on February 24. However, his output has dwindled since then as he's 0-for-10 over his last five games. On a positive note, he does have four walks, one stolen base, and just one strikeout during that span. We can't put a whole lot of stock into Spring Training performances, but it's still promising to see Varsho drawing walks at an 11.8 percent clip after turning in a career-worst 7.7 percent rate last season. He's started 150-plus games in each of the last two years and should remain an everyday player for the Jays in 2024.
