Russell Wilson Set To Meet With Steelers
9 months agoVeteran quarterback Russell Wilson is expected to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of 2024 free agency, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. Wilson was released by the Denver Broncos this week after posting an 11-19 record over two seasons with the organization. The Steelers are likely looking to upgrade the quarterback spot from either Kenny Pickett or Mason Rudolph, and Wilson could be attractive as a veteran option on the market. It's still early in the process, but Wilson could provide value boosts for wide receivers Diontae Johnson and George Pickens. Despite his decline in Denver, he still threw 42 touchdowns over the last two years, compared to a combined 16 for Pickett and Rudolph. The former Pro Bowl signal-caller is unlikely to post QB1 numbers in fantasy football moving forward, but he could be a serviceable QB2 in Superflex formats.
