Anthony Rendon Could Take Live At-Bats Thursday
9 months agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) says he is feeling better and could take live at-bats on Thursday. He added he will be playing "soon". "It was more just soreness. We were just trying to prevent anything bigger, especially so early in camp," Rendon said. The veteran's tenure with the Angels has been plagued by injuries since he signed a seven-year, $245 million deal with the team prior to the 2020 season. He has played a total of just 200 games across four years (including the shortened 2020 season) with the Angels and has struggled in that time. Most recently, he hit .236 with two home runs and two stolen bases alongside a .679 OPS across 43 games in the 2023 season. His fantasy value is at an all-time low and he should be left alone in all formats.
