Commanders Offensive Line Is In Flux
9 months agoSince the Washington Commanders will most likely address their quarterback need in the upcoming NFL draft with the second overall pick, The Athletic's Ben Standig believes the team's biggest offseason need is on the offensive line. It's good news that Washington has the league's most salary cap space and six picks in the top 102 picks in this year's draft. Besides right guard Sam Cosmi, all of the team's offensive line spots are in flux for a unit that factored heavily into allowing 65 sacks in 2023. Left guard is the biggest hole, but left tackle is also a big concern after Charles Leno (hip) was cut this week. Expect the Commanders to try to shore up their O-line through free agency and the draft, as they aren't going to want a rookie QB being thrown to the wolves behind a shaky line in 2024.
