Flyers Making Progress On Extension For Nick Seeler
9 months agoThe Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly making progress on a contract extension for defenseman Nick Seeler. The 30-year-old is currently scheduled to hit unrestricted free-agent status at the end of the season but it appears the Flyers could very well lock him up. The defense-first blueliner has recorded just one goal and 12 points on the season but he also has 112 hits and 78 penalty minutes on his ledger. Additionally, his 184 blocks rank first in the NHL and he is a plus-15 on the season. A valued penalty killer, Seeler is a veteran of 288 games in six NHL seasons with the Wild, Blackhawks, and Flyers. He currently carries a $775K cap hit.
