Oswald Peraza Back In Action For Yankees
9 months agoNew York Yankees infielder/outfielder Oswald Peraza (shoulder) is back in the team's Grapefruit League lineup on Tuesday against the New York Mets, starting at second base and batting fifth. Peraza is back in spring training action after missing a week with right-shoulder tightness. The 23-year-old will be ready for Opening Day at the end of March unless he suffers a setback with his arm. Peraza isn't guaranteed an Opening Day roster spot out of camp and could begin the 2024 regular season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. If he's with the Yankees to open the year, he'll be a super-utility player with the ability to play the infield and outfield. In 52 games in the majors last year, Peraza hit just .191 (33-for-173) with two homers, 14 RBI and four stolen bases.
