Ronald Acuna Jr. Expected To Be Ready By Opening Day
Ronald Acuna Jr. had his sore right knee examined by a doctor on Friday and irritation was found in his meniscus. An MRI was recommended and Acuna now plans to travel to L.A. to see another doctor. As of now, the Braves are optimistic, expecting Acuna to be ready for Opening Day, however, fantasy managers and fans will be justifiably nervous as this is the same knee that he tore his ACL in back in 2021. This situation will be monitored closely so stay tuned for updates.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Likely Several Weeks From Rehab Assignment
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) is still building strength in his quadriceps muscles, and the Braves don't know exactly when he will begin playing in minor-league rehab games, according to MLB.com's Mark Bowman. Bowman's best guess is that Acuna will begin his minor-league rehab assignment in a couple of weeks. The Braves aren't rushing the 27-year-old former MVP back from his ACL tear last season, even though he was cleared to begin ramping up baseball activities several weeks ago. A return in May has always been the Braves' target for Acuna, but it could be closer to late May, depending on how he's looking when he resumes playing in games. When Acuna is ready to return, he shouldn't be limited in what he can do and is expected to resume right-field duties immediately. While he may not run as much, Acuna can still be a fantasy difference-maker when he's back. Stay patient.

No Updates On Ronald Acuna Jr.
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee). Acuna has yet to make his 2025 debut after tearing his ACL last year, although he was cleared to ramp up his baseball activities a few weeks ago. The Braves always planned on taking things slow with the 27-year-old former MVP, so it's not that big of a surprise that there are no updates or that he hasn't started a minor-league rehab assignment yet. When we hear more on Acuna, we'll pass it along. For now, fantasy managers must remain patient and hope that he's able to return to the Braves starting lineup sooner than later in the month of May. Acuna still has the potential to be a difference-maker for fantasy teams, although he probably isn't going to run nearly as much on the basepaths. When he's ready, the Braves plan on returning Acuna to right field immediately.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Cleared To Begin Ramping Up Baseball Activity
Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) has been cleared to ramp up his baseball activity and begin progressing toward a minor-league rehab assignment. There remains no firm timetable for when Acuna might make his 2025 debut, but he appears to be on a scheduled to return at some point in the next month, as previously thought. The 27-year-old is recovering from surgery to fix a torn ACL in his left knee last year and won't be available to fantasy managers until May. Acuna has been hitting for a while now, but he will now ramp up his running program Until he's able to return, Jarred Kelenic will continue to see the majority of starts in right field for Atlanta. Acuna, a former MVP, has the ability to be a fantasy difference-maker when he's healthy, so he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Going For Checkup Early Next Week
Ronald Acuna Jr. is expected to head to Los Angeles to meet with doctors first thing next week, according to 929 The Game's Grant McAuley. Acuna expects to be cleared for lateral movement and quick start/stop running, which will eventually determine his next steps and a timetable for him to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. The Braves have declined to give the 27-year-old former MVP a specific timetable, but the consensus all along is that he should be ready to make his season debut at some point in early to mid-May, barring a setback. Acuna has already proven he can be a difference-maker in fantasy, but it's possible he will lose a step after now having torn the ACL in both of his knees. Still, he needs to be stashed in all fantasy leagues and will be a must-start whenever he returns. Jarred Kelenic has been serving as the team's starting right fielder early on in 2025.
