Wild Sign Marat Khusnutdinov To Entry-Level Deal
10 months agoThe Minnesota Wild have signed forward prospect Marat Khusnutdinov to a two-year, entry-level deal on Wednesday. The Russian was drafted in the second round, 37th overall, by the club in the 2020 NHL Draft. He spent three seasons playing with the KHL's St. Petersburg SKA before being traded to Sochi HC this season. He failed to get on the scoresheet in six games with St. Petersburg before notching six goals and 20 points across 49 games with Sochi. Khusnutdinov could join the Wild this season as they sit sixth in the Central Division with a 28-25-6 record. They will look to make up ground on the Nashville Predators in a Thursday night tilt. The Preds sit six points ahead of the Wild in the Central Division standings.
