Bo Naylor Scratched With Back Spasms
10 months agoCleveland Guardians catching prospect Bo Naylor (back) was scratched from the team's Cactus League lineup on Monday against the San Diego Padres due to back spasms. The Guardians are probably just being cautious with the young catching prospect early in spring training, but we'll have more updates on the 24-year-old backstop's condition once we know more. He's likely to be day-to-day. Naylor took over in Cleveland last year during the summer and hit .237/.339/.470 with an .809 OPS, 11 home runs, 32 RBI and five stolen bases in 67 games in 2023. Naylor, the younger brother of Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor, will be the team's starting catcher from the get-go in 2024. If he stays healthy and gets enough playing time, he has the potential to be a top-10 catcher in fantasy when all is said and done, mainly due to his speed.
