Calle Jarnkrok Aiming For Practice Return Next Week
10 months agoToronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is making progress in his return from a broken knuckle and the team is targeting a full practice return next week for the veteran, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe. The 32-year-old suffered the injury in a practice in late January and was visibly frustrated after taking a shot off the hand. The middle-six winger has notched 10 goals and 19 points across 46 games this season after setting career highs with 20 goals and 39 points in his 73 games played last season. His first with the Maple Leafs. Jarnkrok is in the second season of a four-year, $8.4 million deal he signed with the team on July 15, 2022, while the Maple Leafs will carry a seven-game winning streak into Tuesday's game versus the visiting Vegas Golden Knights.
