Jasson Dominguez Takes Swings Off Tee Monday
Jasson Dominguez (elbow) took 20 swings off a tee on Monday in camp, his first time swinging a bat since having Tommy John surgery in September of last year. Dominguez expects to do the same thing again on Wednesday. Up to this point, the 21-year-old outfielder had only been shagging fly balls in the outfield. It's a good step for The Martian, but he has a long ways to go in his recovery from elbow surgery and isn't expected to make his 2024 debut until later this summer. Still, Dominguez is one of the most intriguing outfield prospects in the game and deserves to be stashed in mixed leagues for his power/speed combination. When healthy, he is expected to be New York's starting center fielder.

Jasson Dominguez Sitting Out on Tuesday
Jasson Dominguez is getting the day off on Tuesday against the visiting Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium with left-hander Patrick Corbin on the bump. Cody Bellinger is sliding over to left field and is hitting cleanup, while Ben Rice will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth in the order. In his first full season in the big leagues, the 22-year-old Dominguez is currently slashing .241/.342/.421 with a .763 OPS, five home runs, nine doubles, 21 RBI, 24 runs scored and four stolen bases in 155 trips to the plate for the Yankees. He's been slightly better in 13 games in May, hitting .268 (11-for-41) with three homers, nine RBI, one steal and 10 runs scored. Despite the lefty-lefty matchup, Bellinger has hit .400 with two RBI in 20 career at-bats versus Corbin. Rice, who also hits lefty, has never faced Corbin.

Jasson Dominguez Smashes Three Homers On Friday
Jasson Dominguez had a night to remember on Friday, going 3-for-4 with three homers and seven RBI. Dominguez could not be stopped in this one, hitting solo shots in the third and seventh innings before capping the night off with a grand slam in the eighth. After a slow start to the season, the 22-year-old is suddenly back to solid overall numbers after this monster game. He has a .250 AVG, 20 runs, five homers, 19 RBI, and three swipes in 108 at-bats. Dominguez hasn't been playing every day, but still gets plenty of playing time and hits in a stacked lineup. He should be rostered in standard-size leagues just in case he lives up to his potential, and Friday is a reminder of his sky-high upside.

Jasson Dominguez Collects Three Hits, Three RBI Tuesday
Jasson Dominguez had a productive game at the plate in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals. Dominguez went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double, and three RBI. The 22-year-old has had a solid start to the season offensively, slashing .275/.362/.431 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. There are some potentially worrisome signs for Dominguez, such as his dreadful .050 batting average against left-handed pitchers and his bottom-five percentile average exit velocity. However, the Martian carries a ton of pedigree and has produced respectable overall numbers, so fantasy managers can be cautiously optimistic at this point.

Jasson Dominguez Heads To Bench For First Time This Year
Jasson Dominguez will get his first day off of the year for Monday's series opener in Detroit against the Tigers at Comerica Field. Cody Bellinger will slide over to left field and bat third, while Trent Grisham will get another start in center and hit eighth in the batting order versus Tigers right-hander Casey Mize. Dominguez will get his first breather of 2025 after starting the year going 8-for-33 (.242) with a home run, three doubles, three RBI, one steal, seven runs scored, four walks and nine strikeouts in 38 trips to the plate over nine games. The 22-year-old should be back in there for the second game of the series in Motown on Tuesday. The Yankees want to keep Grisham's bat in the lineup after he hit two homers and drove in four runs on Saturday against the Pirates. The mustachioed outfielder is on a tear early with three homers and nine RBI in his first 22 at-bats.
