Ryan Preece Is A Difficult DFS Recommendation For Atlanta
10 months agoStewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Preece will officially start this week's Cup race at Atlanta from the 20th position. Since the 2022 reconfiguration of AMS, Preece made two starts at the site with his best finish being 24th, which he scored in his last appearance there. Preece placed 23rd in last week's Daytona 500, finishing one lap down after placing 10th in the second stage of that race. This showcased that Preece was capable of competing for a favorable finish until late in the event when he received damage from crashes. Since joining Stewart-Haas Racing in 2023 however, Preece obtained only one top-10 finish at drafting tracks (Talladega in October 2023). Preece's starting position provides solid place differential upside, but his shaky recent history at drafting tracks makes him a difficult driver to recommend to DFS players this week at Atlanta.
