Kyle Lowry Saw 76ers As Best Fit For Him
10 months agoAccording to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, point guard Kyle Lowry had several options available to him after being bought out by Charlotte, but he chose to link up with his hometown team because the veteran sees the Sixers as the best fit for him. Having Nurse as the coach could have been one of the biggest factors in Lowry's decision to move to Philadelphia, as the two won the NBA championship together in Toronto five years ago. Lowry will be backing up first-year All-Star Tyrese Maxey at his new club. "He gives us another ball handler, backup point guard, whatever," Nurse said of Lowry. "Second point guard, whatever you want to say with that. You got some three-point shooting, and you got some very good defensive knowledge, especially team defense, schematically and stuff like that."
