1 year agoMinnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov had an extraordinary outing against Vancouver on Monday, matching multiple franchise records with a six-point effort in a 10-7 win. Joel Eriksson Ek also had six points as Minnesota turned a 5-3 deficit into a victory in the third period. Both players finished with three goals and three assists, tying Marian Gaborik's franchise record for most points in a game. Kaprizov had four of his points, including all three goals, in the third period, which also matched the Wild's all-time marks for most goals and points in a period. After going scoreless in his first outing after the All-Star break, Kaprizov has heated up with a five-game point streak, which includes three multi-point efforts. He has amassed 23 goals and 57 points for the season in 48 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoAccording to the team, the Minnesota Wild have placed left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) on the injured reserve. The 27-year-old will undergo surgery and is expected to miss at least four weeks of action. Kaprizov missed time earlier this season with this same injury but faced a setback and will now require surgery. Over his previous three contests, Kaprizov tallied two helpers and averaged just under three shots on goal per game. Across 37 contests this season, Kaprizov has scored 23 goals and 29 helpers, with 12 of his points coming on the power-play. He has averaged 3.5 shots on goal per game while logging 22 minutes of ice time per game. While sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Matt Boldy to operate as the top left wing in the Minnesota offense for the foreseeable future.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

2 months agoMinnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) will return to the lineup for Thursday's clash against the Utah Hockey Club. Minnesota gets its star winger back after playing 12 games without him. Kaprizov, who has notched 50 points (23 goals, 27 assists) in 34 appearances, will be reunited with Marco Rossi and Mats Zuccarello on the first line. He will also reclaim his spot on the first power-play unit. Matt Boldy lands back on the second line with Kaprizov's return, but he will continue to have plenty of fantasy value as Minnesota's second-highest scorer.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 months agoMinnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) will miss a 10th consecutive game on Wednesday against Edmonton. The prolific winger participated in the morning skate, but only in a limited capacity, and is not yet ready to return from a lower-body injury. Kaprizov gets his next chance for a comeback on Saturday against Nashville. Matt Boldy will continue to skate in Kaprizov's spot on the first line during Wednesday's game. Boldy has been inconsistent with his performances. He boasts three goals and six points over a five-game span but has gone scoreless twice in the past three contests.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 months agoMinnesota Wild left wing Kirill Kaprizov (lower body) will likely sit out at least two more games. According to The Athletic's Michael Russo, Kaprizov is not expected to join the team for an upcoming two-game road trip. The Wild star last played on Dec. 23, missing three games. Minnesota has also placed Kaprizov on injured reserve, although he can be activated anytime he's ready to return. Matt Boldy has skated on the first line during Kaprizov's absence, but it hasn't helped him break out of his offensive slump. The 23-year-old will enter Thursday's matchup against Washington with a run of one point in six games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
