Jorge Soler Seeking Three-Year Deal In Free Agency
10 months agoFree-agent outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler is still seeking a three-year deal in free agency. One of the top remaining bats left on the open market, Soler's potential suitors have diminished as the Blue Jays, D-backs, and Mariners have already acquired primary DH bats this offseason in Justin Turner, Joc Pederson, and Mitch Haniger, respectively. The 31-year-old is coming off a big season with the Marlins in 2023 as he hit .250 with 36 home runs and an .853 OPS across 137 games played. The 2019 AL home run champ (48) opted out of the final year of his contract with Miami and was ultimately not tendered a qualifying offer, therefore he is not attached to draft pick compensation on the open market.
