The Las Vegas Raiders may have turned their 2023 season around under interim coach Antonio Pierce (who was rewarded with the full-time position), but that doesn't mean there aren't as many holes on the roster as teams picking in the top five.
The defense was sturdier when Pierce took over. Still, it wouldn't be a total surprise to see Pierce and new GM Tom Telesco spend a top pick on that side of the football. But all eyes will be on the quarterback position in Sin City.
What draft picks do the Raiders have in the 2024 NFL Draft? Who could they target in the first round? Let's dive in.

What Draft Picks Do The Las Vegas Raiders Own?
The Las Vegas Raiders own nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, including three in the seventh and final round. Their first selection, barring a trade, will be 13th overall.
After the first round, they'll select 44th overall with their second-round pick. The Raiders also pick 77th (third round), 112th (fourth round), 146th (fifth round), 209th (sixth round), 220th, 224th and 226th (seventh round).
Their picks in the first five rounds are all their own, original picks. Multiple picks have been swapped in the last two rounds. The Raiders are either receiving or sending six selections in that stretch.

Who Could The Las Vegas Raiders Draft In The First Round?
Rumors are swirling around the Raiders' potential push to move up in the draft and secure a new franchise quarterback. Aidan O'Connell is serviceable in a pinch but he's not leading many teams to the playoffs, let alone a Super Bowl.
Moving up for one of the prized quarterbacks (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels) is easier in theory. The three teams at the top of the draft (Chicago, Washington, and New England) are all quarterback-needy. The Giants, Falcons, and Broncos pick in front of the Raiders and all could use new blood in the quarterback room. The Vikings, Titans, and Jets could also look that way if they so choose. The competition for the top signal callers will be fierce.
Michigan's J.J. McCarthy may be an option at pick 13. On most draft boards, he's listed as the fourth quarterback. McCarthy would greatly benefit from a season on the bench, learning how to read defenses in the NFL, which is why he's been linked to Minnesota in many mock drafts. The Raiders could use the same strategy and roll out O'Connell for another season, but the pressure on the coaching staff to insert the rookie before he's ready will be immense.
If a quarterback doesn't make sense when they're on the clock, any position other than running back and tight end are legitimate options (not that Brock Bowers wouldn't be a good pick, just unnecessary). Pass rushers Dallas Turner or Jared Verse would fit in nicely opposite of Maxx Crosby if the Raiders believe that 2023 first-round pick Tyree Wilson isn't fit for the NFL. An offensive line selection isn't splashy, but Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Joe Alt, or Taliese Fuaga would be day-one starters. Defensive tackle Byron Murphy II and cornerback Terrion Arnold would also fit the bill.
