Vikings Would Like To Re-Sign Kirk Cousins
10 months agoThe Minnesota Vikings would like to re-sign impending free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins (Achilles) this offseason, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Cousins is expected to have a strong market, even at age 35 and coming off a torn Achilles in 2023. In the event that Cousins goes elsewhere, the Vikings are exploring all their options at the QB position. If Cousins demands too much money, Minnesota could go more economical at the position and look to a veteran like Sam Darnold while buying them some time to potentially develop a rookie signal-caller. Things become more difficult with All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson in line for a monster long-term contract extension. Cousins' fantasy value as a low-end QB1 would be strongest if he were to return to Minnesota.
