Spencer Dinwiddie Traded To Raptors, Expected To Be Waived
10 months agoBrooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie was dealt to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Dennis Schroder and Thaddeus Young ahead of the trade deadline on Thursday. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, he's expected to be waived by the Raptors so they can save $1.5 million for a games played bonus that was in his contract. The 30-year-old has been going through a very rough shooting year as he's only knocked down 39.1% of his shots on 10.4 attempts per game. He has, however, collected 6.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds per contest while limiting his turnovers to 1.3 a night. A competitive team in need of a backup point guard will likely take a look at him on the buyout market, but he'll be a wait-and-see type of player for fantasy managers looking to add him.
