Brenden Dillon To Save Player Safety Meeting For Tuesday Hit
10 months agoWinnipeg Jets defenseman Brenden Dillon will have a hearing for a high hit on Pittsburgh's Noel Acciari in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to the Penguins. Dillon stepped up and made contact with Acciari's head at 4:15 of the second period and was assigned a five-minute major and a game misconduct. Acciari left the game and did not return. Known for his rugged, physical style of play, Dillon has recorded six goals and 15 points in 48 games but also has 116 hits, 66 blocks, and 75 penalty minutes on his ledger in 18:18 of average ice time per game. His six goals already tie a career-high set in the 2013-14 season with the Dallas Stars while his career-high of 23 points came just last season.
