We are just days away from the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season with Super Bowl LVIII featuring the number three seed from the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs, against the top seed from the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers. A rematch from Super Bowl LIV in 2020, both teams are very similar at the core but they have made some changes that could prove to be game-changing.
On the Niners' side, adding MVP finalists Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy is a great way to try and get their offense over the hump of knocking off Patrick Mahomes. While the elite combination of Mahomes and Travis Kelce is still with the Chiefs, the rest of the receiving corps is much weaker without Tyreek Hill. However, Kansas City's defense is a complete 180 from their last matchup, as the Chiefs are now one of the best defenses in the NFL against the pass.
What are the starting lineups for Super Bowl LVIII? Who's starting for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers? Let's find out.

San Francisco 49ers Starting Lineup
Kyle Shanahan-led teams tend to use a heavy amount of condensed formations, and in essence, they have 12 offensive players who play enough snaps to be considered starters. Fullback Kyle Juszczyk is a Swiss army knife for the offense who will line up in the backfield, as a tight end, and even occasionally in the slot. On defense, San Francisco has struggled over the last few weeks defending run plays that stress their linemen, who love to play aggressively in the backfield as soon as possible. However, their talent is undeniable, and they will need to get pressure and have good play from their linebackers to help limit the great Travis Kelce.

Kansas City Chiefs Starting Lineup
This Chiefs team is built unlike any other Patrick Mahomes-led team, as their strengths mainly lie on the defensive side of the ball with limited weapons on offense. Thanks to perhaps the best group of cornerbacks in the NFL along with one of the league's premier defensive coordinators, the Chiefs' identity this year starts with confusing the opposing quarterback and limiting the passing game as much as possible. First-Team All-Pro guard Joe Thuney is the biggest question mark ahead of the game, as he has yet to practice and is viewed as unlikely to play.
