DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Justus Annunen - DK $6.5K || FD $6.5K
Opponent - New Jersey Devils
The NHL DFS Gods have given us all a gift named Justus Annunen. The Avalanche prospect was recalled during the All-Star break with teammate Ivan Prosvetov headed back down to the Eagles. Jared Bednar and company want to give their top goalie prospect a legitimate shot at the NHL level and he has an excellent matchup to do just that. The Devils’ quality of Shots Per 60 has taken a bit of a dip from their last 25 to their last 10, making Anunnen the second-best value goalie on the slate. Also, keep in mind that the Devils are negative in virtually every stat without center, Jack Hughes.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Demko (DK $8.1K || FD $7.7K)
- Jarry (DK $7.2K || FD $7.6K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Sam Bennett - DK $5.1K || FD $6.2K
Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers
Sam Bennett and the Panthers walk into arguably one of the best matchups on the slate. The Flyers are coming into this game and off the All-Star break with a five-game losing streak while being outscored 12 to 27 in that stretch. Furthermore, expected starter Sam Ersson has a 0-4-0 record, a 4.49 Goals Against Average, a 0.826 Save Percentage, and, out of 51 possible goalies, he is the seventh-worst in Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60 in the last 10 games. On the other hand, Bennett has one goal, four assists, 15 shots, and six blocked shots in his last five outings. The center will be expected to at the very minimum maintain value in this prime matchup.
Pavel Zacha - DK $4.3K || FD $4.9K
Opponent - Calgary Flames
Bench boss Bruce Cassidy decided to finally mix things up. In the last two games, the second line has consisted of the trio James van Riemsdyk-Pavel Zacha-David Pastrnak and they have carried Boston offensively. In this stretch, Zacha has one goal, three assists, 10 shots, and one blocked shot. The only negative about him being reunited with Pastrnak is that Zacha will not see as high of a shot volume anymore. However, his point production is expected to rise with Pastrnak on his line. Calgary has progressively gotten worse at defense from their last 25 games to their most recent 10 games, pointing towards a potential blowup game.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- MacKinnon (DK $10.2K || FD $10.2K)
- McMichael (DK $2.8K || FD $3.7K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks
David Pastrnak- DK $9.8K || FD $10K
Opponent - Calgary Flames
Continuing the Bruins trend, we have winger David Pastrnak. After getting some time with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers during the All-Star game, Pastrnak will have his creative juices flowing. In his most recent five games before the break, he had four goals, four assists, 25 shots, and four blocked shots. As mentioned, the Flames are struggling right now and they have commenced their rebuilding phase with the trade of ex-center Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks. Furthermore, Yegor Sharangovich of Calgary is expected to slot into the second-line center role and it has been a very long time since he last played that position at game speed. This all sets up Boston’s second line to have a big night.
Max Pacioretty - DK $4.5K || FD $4.4K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
Fortunately, Patches is not at the peak level he once was and it results in his salary being much friendlier. It is worth mentioning that the lines got swapped with the second line becoming the first and vice versa at practice yesterday. Nevertheless, Pacioretty and the Capitals are playing the Canadiens. The visitors Per 90 are in the bottom five in Shots Against, Scoring Chances Against, and High Danger Chances Against in their last 10 games. In Pacioretty’s last five appearances, he has four assists and 15 shots. For only $4.5K on DraftKings, he could be considered one of the top value plays on the slate.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Verhaeghe (DK $6.8K || FD $8.5K)
- Mikheyev (DK $3.5K || FD $4.5K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
John Carlson - DK $5.6K || FD $6.3K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
As mentioned numerous times in past articles, it is not common to find defenders north of $5K on DraftKings in the highlighted section, but here we are. Carlson hasn't been as consistent as he can be, however, he is still producing double-digit fantasy points on most nights and tonight is the perfect matchup to do just that. In his most recent five appearances, he has four assists, 11 shots, and 10 blocked shots. He is averaging one blocked shot less than what is needed for the Shots Blocked Bonus on DraftKings. Carlson may offer the best floor and ceiling tonight at defense.
Brayden McNabb - DK $3.5K || FD $4.2K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
With many focusing on Alex Pietrangelo and Alec Martinez, our focus will turn to their teammate Brayden McNabb. Similar to Martinez, McNabb generates most of his production through blocked shots and it certainly helps that he is on the top penalty kill unit for the Knights, a unit that should see a significant amount of time on the ice tonight. In McNabb’s last five games, he has one assist, six shots, and 11 blocked shots. In a fast-paced meeting with the Oilers, it would be a surprise more than anything for McNabb not to maintain value.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Martinez (DK $5.1K || FD $5.5K)
- Hanifin (DK $4.3K || FD $5.4K)
