The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, February 2.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Trae Young OVER 10.5 Assists - Following an All-Star selection snub, I envision Trae Young coming out full throttle vs. the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. Young leads the league with 457 total assists. While the Suns play a borderline average defense and utilize a taller backcourt, such facts won't deter Young from finding an open teammate.
There have been just three instances of a player averaging 25 PTS and 10 AST without being named an All-Star. Trae Young is two of those instances.

Despite the loud narrative of NBA players not caring about the regular season, perhaps missing out on a significant accolade for the second consecutive season marks a dark omen for the Hawks. Considering the motivational factor, bang the over on 10.5 assists for Young.
Paolo Banchero OVER 4.5 Assists - Fresh off an All-Star berth announcement, reigning Rookie of the Year winner Paolo Banchero faces the Minnesota Timberwolves in a rematch in which the Orlando Magic lost 113-92. Although the Magic lost in essentially a non-contested bout, Banchero's teammate Franz Wagner missed the game due to an ankle sprain.
Paolo Banchero is averaging 28.5 points and 6.8 assists per game in his last four games
He also has 7 assists in three straight games, something he’s never done before in his NBA career

Regarding Wagner's presence, Banchero has another versatile player to find for easy baskets, unlike the last matchup between Orlando and Minnesota. Whether the Magic can avenge their previous loss to the Timberwolves makes for another discussion, but the Timberwolves forcing Banchero to find teammates seems like a reasonable defensive game plan. In his last five games, Banchero averaged 6.6 assists, which bodes well for anyone betting the over on the 4.5 assists line.
Kawhi Leonard UNDER 26.5 Points - The surging Los Angeles Clippers play the Cancun-focused Detroit Pistons on a busy NBA Friday schedule. Winners of eight of their last eight games, the Clippers don't need to force the issue against the Pistons, ultimately inferring a tame performance from Kawhi Leonard.

I see James Harden and Paul George taking control against the significantly inferior opponent while Leonard takes the backseat. I highly suggest taking the under 26.5 points prop bet on Leonard.
Franz Wagner OVER 4.5 Rebounds - Although Wagner doesn't appear physically imposing, the Magic forward stands at 6-foot-10. Grabbing at least five rebounds in four of his last five games, the German native made himself at home on the boards. Admittedly, snatching rebounds from Rudy Gobert sounds like a dilemma for anyone besides Joel Embiid or Nikola Jokic. However, the Magic's defense allows a third-ranked opponent's defensive rebound percentage of 77.2.
Lightly tap the over on 4.5 rebounds for Wagner.
