Just two weeks ago, Nick Dunlap was just another undergrad at the University of Alabama. An immaculate 2023 on the amateur circuit earned him status as one of the most promising prospects in the golfing world, but even his most ardent supporters couldn't have imagined his potential being fulfilled so soon. Dunlap turned a sponsor's invite at The American Express into a one-shot win, outdueling a duo with a combined 20 PGA Tour wins in the process, and earned his way into the collection of PGA Tour signature events. These 80-man, exclusive fields will be the ultimate proving ground for the 20-year-old, as he'll be able to test his abilities against the best fields the PGA Tour has to offer whilst being eligible for a share of an eye-popping eight-figure prize pool. Time will tell just how ready Dunlap is to compete against the world's best every week, but it's hard to imagine a better opportunity in the history of the sport for a 20-year-old recent college sophomore.--Ian McNeill - RotoBaller

Nick Dunlap won a tournament as an amateur and professional last year. The young American golfer comes into the 2025 edition of The Mastery trying to make his first cut. He missed the cut last year after a two round score of 151. Dunlap has made six cuts and missed three in 2025. Also, he has one Top 10 result. Sometimes people forget he is only 21 and needs to work on that driver. Dunlap has been averaging 297.5 yards which is not horrible but that 48.68% accuracy ranks 183rd. At The Masters, he must keep balls on the fairway or maybe hit the driver less often. With the ups and downs of the PGA Tour, Dunlap has experienced more of both in his first full season. It may be better to watch what Dunlap does as opposed to utilizing him for DFS, betting, or fantasy golf this time around.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

It has been a rough stretch over the last couple of events for Nick Dunlap, as he has posted true strokes gained averages of -3.78 and -3.57 in strokes gained off the tee en route to missing back-to-back cuts at The Players and the API. That type of performance won't get things done, even at a place like Memorial Park, that isn't very demanding off the tee. However, he also isn't doing anything too noteworthy anywhere else either. He finished T11 at this event last season, which was aided by gaining over four strokes on the greens, but he hasn't seen production close to that since making the jump to bermudagrass greens this season. At $8,300 on FanDuel, Dunlap is always an easy person to take a chance on each week. But the warning signs are there to seek other options if compelled to. --Todd McGill - RotoBaller

Nick Dunlap had that one top-10 result at the Sony Open. The American golfer started off last week at Pebble Beach but faded with a 72-74 weekend. Off the tee, Dunlap has not gotten much of anything going. Losing a whopping 1.105 strokes after 14 measured rounds is not helpful. Even worse, Dunlap cannot hit a driver 300-plus yards, and his accuracy is a mere 50.88% (167th). Also, Dunlap averages 30 putts per opening round and a mere 70 after the first round. It has been a bit of a pattern for the golfer from Alabama. This is Dunlap's first trip to Scottsdale, and this could prove to be a harsh learning experience. Do not let the party atmosphere fool anyone -- Dunlap needs to drive the ball further and accurately. It will be vital if Dunlap expects to challenge this week.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Nick Dunlap netted a top-10 result in Hawaii and finished a respectable T34 at The American Express. The American golfer won twice on the PGA Tour in 2024, and his 2025 is off to a pretty good start. He did play 23 events last year, and Pebble Beach was not kind to Dunlap, as he shot 76-74-73. Keep in mind that the golfer is only 21. Dunlap is a long shot to win at plus-11000 on DraftKings, but then again, there was The American Express in 2024. One big red flag early in 2025 is getting off the tee. Dunlap has lost 0.909 strokes gained in only 10 measured rounds. His driving distance is below average at 295.3 yards a drive (136th), but his 51.16% driving accuracy (176th) may make his weekend more challenging.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
