The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 26.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
LaMelo Ball OVER 1.5 Steals - LaMelo Ball, although not an elite defender, recently had quite the five-game stretch. Despite the Charlotte Hornets' defensive deficiencies, Ball helped the lowly Eastern Conference team in the steals department by averaging 2.4 steals. Charlotte faces the much-improved Houston Rockets on Friday evening. While Fred VanVleet makes for a veteran point guard who seldom chokes up a possession (reflected in his elite 9.1 turnover percentage), fellow backcourt teammate Jalen Green provides another story. I believe Ball will continue his pickpocketing ways and cover the over on 1.5 steals.
Dillon Brooks OVER 1.5 Assists - PrizePicks introduced their demon and goblin prop bets on Thursday night, in which the demon options bode for a larger payout. Still, a harder cover and the goblin bets make for an easier cover but a lesser payout. For the debut of such a betting feature, I went with Houston Rockets wing Dillon Brooks to cover the over 1.5 assists, which qualifies for the demon classification prop bet. For perspective, Brooks dished out four assists vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on January 24 but only accumulated two in his previous four games. Although a demon prop carries risks, the payout at the other end of the stress ball makes up for it.
Scottie Barnes OVER 21.5 Points - It's been an underwhelming five-game stretch for Scottie Barnes, as the Toronto Raptors forward averaged 18.4 points. Despite missing a chunk of possessions from the All-Star influence in Pascal Siakam, Barnes hasn't capitalized on the extra possessions granted.

Friday makes for a timely opportunity for Barnes to refresh as the best player on a rebuilding team with former Raptor great Kawhi Leonard in town. I sense that Barnes catches a scoring fever on the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, ultimately covering the over on 21.5 points.
Kawhi Leonard UNDER 24.5 Points - Kawhi Leonard is one of one in sports history. The zagger of zigs himself faces his former team in Toronto, the same franchise in which he helped secure its lone championship season. Such an occasion would typically light a fire of inspiration in a competitor's belly.

However, Leonard doesn't subscribe to such emotional standards. While Leonard likely has a decent outing against his championship fling partner, the balanced attack of the three-headed dragon Los Angeles Clippers makes for a reasonable reason he won't cover the over on 24.5 points.
