Arthur Smith Drawing Interest From Several Teams To Join Offensive Staff
10 months agoFormer Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith was let go by the organization after three 7-10 seasons and a failure to get the offense rolling, but he is reportedly drawing interest from at least seven teams about joining their offensive staff as the offensive coordinator. The report comes from Dianna Russini of the Athletic. Smith had success as the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator in 2020, leading the unit to scoring 30.7 points per game (fourth) and rack up 396.4 yards per game (third). He is known for his run-heavy and play-action approach, but his failure to get the most out of skill players like Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts led to his firing. With the right roster and quarterback, he might be able to turn things around in a more natural role.
