Bennedict Mathurin Drops 25 Points In Win
10 months agoIndiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin received his second straight start on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings. The Pacers were shorthanded with Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) sidelined and Bruce Brown being traded to the Toronto Raptors. Mathurin made the most of it by hitting 11-of-21 shots from the floor for 25 points in the win. He also added three rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in his 37 minutes of play. Haliburton is expected to return on Friday, so Mathurin will likely shift back to a role on the bench. He should continue to be a consistent option off the bench, but won't be seeing 37 minutes every night.
