Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was injured during the middle of the 2023 season, and he has spent a significant chunk of time on the Injured Reserve list. The Ravens were initially hoping he'd be able to return late in the year, but he ultimately missed the rest of the regular season campaign.
However, Baltimore is the No. 1 seed in the AFC and eyeing a potential Super Bowl run, so the window is still open for one of the best tight ends in the NFL to make a return. Needless to say, his presence in the lineup would be a huge boost for Lamar Jackson and the passing game, and we have the latest update on his status.
Will Andrews play against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round? What is his fantasy football outlook if he plays? Let's get into it.

Mark Andrews Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Ravens designated Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews (ankle) to return from Injured Reserve on Friday, and he was limited to individual drills at practice. Andrews' return to practice comes two months after he suffered a serious left ankle injury against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he looked fine running routes and cutting during individual drills. "I think we're on the same timetable that we were on," head coach John Harbaugh said after Friday's practice. "We're in that range. We'll get into next week, and we'll have a better idea."
Andrews has been quarterback Lamar Jackson's favorite target since they were drafted by the Ravens in 2018, but it remains to be seen how productive the tight end will be if he's able to play in the postseason. He led the team with 54.4 receiving yards per game and six touchdowns through the first 11 weeks of 2023.
This week's practice reports beginning on Tuesday will give us a better idea of his potential availability.
Mark Andrews Fantasy Football Outlook
If Andrews suits up on Saturday, he'll face a Houston defense that surrendered the sixth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends during the regular season. Although he could be limited, he should at least operate as the lead red zone target for Jackson.
Ultimately, he could be worth gambling on in GPP DFS tournaments. Many fantasy gamers could fade the 28-year-old due to injury and rust concerns, but if he's active, surely he's ready to go. Consider him a risky fantasy option with upside in a juicy matchup this weekend.
