Jonas Bordin Returns Monday
11 months agoMinnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin (upper body) is set to return for Monday's contest against the visiting New York Islanders. The veteran rearguard hasn't played since suffering the injury in a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 8. Through the first 25 games of his season, Brodin has recorded a goal and nine points to go along with 48 shots on goal and 62 blocked shots. The defense-first blue-liner's absence has been felt, as the Wild sit 25th with 3.38 goals against per game on the season, although it's been a season-long struggle for the club on the back end. A 12-year NHL veteran, Brodin has skated in 766 career regular-season games with 48 goals, 222 points, and 1,307 blocked shots in 22:11 of average ice time per game.
