Mariners Sign Shortstop Prospect Dawel Joseph
11 months agoThe Seattle Mariners reportedly have signed one of the top shortstops in this year's international class, Dawel Joseph, to a $3 million signing bonus, according to MLB Pipeline. Joseph stands at 6-foot-2 and has a smooth swing and plus speed while also offering defensive upside at a premium position. The M's are also reportedly signing shortstop Leandro Romero, another top-50 prospect on MLB Pipeline's prospect list. The 16-year-old Joseph is worth watch closing over the next few years, as the Mariners have had a lot of recent success on the international market, most notably with superstar Julio Rodriguez and one of their top prospects in Gabriel Gonzalez.
