The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 15.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Herbert Jones OVER 1.5 Blocks+Steals - The Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans play each other for the second time in two days. In one of the more shameful losses of the season on January 13, the Mavericks lost to the Pelicans, who didn't suit up Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum. Of the multiple admirable performances, Pelicans wing Herbert Jones exhibited great defense, mainly by blocking two shots. Regardless of who suits up for the Pelicans on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jones' give-me-that defense won't suffer.

Push the over on a combined 1.5 blocks and steals for Jones.
Austin Reaves UNDER 16.5 Points - Austin Reaves hasn't exactly lived up to the hype from the Los Angeles Lakers' shocking 2023 playoff run. To put it nicely, it's been a rough shooting stretch for the part-owner of Rigorer. In the Lakers' last five games, Reaves' three-point shooting is as dry as his product-less hair -- averaging 23 percent from such range. Reiterating his recent five-game stretch, Reaves averaged 14 points, 2.5 under Monday's line for the Los Angeles role player. Typically, the Lakers playing at home on a prestigious day such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day would invoke inspirational performances.

However, the fifth-ranked defensive rating in the Oklahoma City Thunder could vaporize any signature moment from the struggling Lakers. I don't see Reaves playing a factor in a loss or win, even with LeBron James listed as questionable for Monday's game (ankle); I forecast an explosive night from the four-time champion. Ultimately, any impact of Reaves will resemble a cat scratching at the door and maybe feature a brief but insignificant "I am him" moment. Slam the under on Reaves' prop bet, which totals 16.5 points.
Tim Hardaway Jr. UNDER 2.5 Assists - If the phrase "Shooters gonna' shoot" was a person, Tim Hardaway Jr. fits the description. Hardaway Jr. is as eager of a shooter as a kid playing Call of Duty with no sense of tact. While it's fun to crack jokes, Hardaway Jr.'s numbers support the humor as the University of Michigan alum averages 1.7 assists for the 2023-2024 season. Coincidentally, Hardaway Jr. posted a bagel in the assists box score against the Pelicans on January 13.
Luka Doncic will likely miss his third consecutive contest due to an ankle sprain, and in turn, allowing New Orleans' bothersome defense to double team Kyrie Irving without much consequence. Ultimately, Tim Hardaway Jr.'s three-point shooting takes center stage as the X factor of Dallas avenging its embarrassing loss to New Orleans. Don't expect much passing as Hardaway Jr. sits with an 8.4 assists percentage, the lowest mark since his junior year in the league. Tap the under on 2.5 assists for the fifth-highest player in three-point shot attempts.
Jonas Valanciunas OVER 9.5 Rebounds - The Dallas Mavericks rank 29th in opponent rebound category. Opposing bigs look at the Mavericks with money signs in their eyes, eager to capitalize on their likely advantage in the paint. Pelicans starting center Jonas Valanciunas posted a game-high 12 rebounds in their last meeting vs. the Mavericks. Rookie center Dereck Lively II didn't play in the previous game against the Pelicans. However, even if Lively II returns from his banged-up ankle in time for Monday's contest, three of the last five games Valanciunas played against Dallas saw the Lithuania native record double-digit rebounds. Bang the over on 9.5 rebounds for Valanciunas against the weak defense in Dallas.
