Desmond Bane To Miss At Least Six Weeks
11 months agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane (ankle) has been diagnosed with a grade 3 ankle sprain and the team announced that he will be re-evaluated in six weeks. This comes as a huge blow to the already depleted Grizzlies that will deal without Ja Morant (shoulder) for the rest of the season. Marcus Smart (finger) is also set to miss some time, so it seems Jacob Gilyard, Luke Kennard, David Roddy, Vince Williams Jr., and GG Jackson II will all see more time while the former four names should remain in the starting five like they did on Saturday. Williams, Gilyard, and Kennard seem to be good streaming candidates regardless of league size while Roddy and Jackson are better suited in deep leagues. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on Bane's status, because if the team is very far out of contention by the time Bane is able to return, they may think it isn't worth it.
