Giants Searching For More Power In Lineup
11 months agoSan Francisco Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi mentioned several potential avenues for replacing the power in their lineup lost from trading outfielder Mitch Haniger, per MLB's Maria Guardado. One was to bring in another outfielder with pop, as newly-signed outfielder Jung Hoo Lee is known more for his contact skills. Zaidi also mentioned that he expects more power production from young players such as outfielders Heliot Ramos and Luis Matos. There are also still a number of power-hitting, non-outfield free agents available. Oracle Park is notorious for being a pitcher's park and stifling home run numbers, so from a fantasy perspective, any free agents who may sign there would take a relative hit in their power value.
