"I chose a half measure when I should have gone all the way. I'll never make that mistake again."
In one of the most famous and quotable scenes of Breaking Bad, Mike Ehrmantraut tells Walter White (in layman's terms to avoid spoilers) that he has to fully commit to this life of crime. He can't put a band-aid over the problem and expect it to go away.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni took a "half measure" in Week 18. Star defensive tackle Fletcher Cox took a rest day against the Giants. D'Andre Swift was a late scratch due to an illness. Given the low likelihood of the Eagles jumping the Cowboys to win the NFC East, Sirianni presumably let the Pro Bowl running back recover. If the game meant more, the chances of Swift suiting up would have skyrocketed. Despite those stars sitting, Sirianni still opted to play Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and others. Now, he has a plethora of injury issues on his hands.

Is D'Andre Swift Injured or Healthy?
D'Andre Swift can't be blamed for the Eagles' pitiful performance in Week 18 but his absence certainly didn't help. Kenneth Gainwell got the start and ran well (seven carries for 62 yards) in his place. The entire offense struggled, and eventually, Sirianni threw in the towel.
Swift appears ready to roll, now recovered from his illness. The former Georgia Bulldog practiced in full on Thursday. He'll resume lead-back duties but Gainwell will continue to dip into his touches, as was the case for the final stretch of the regular season. Gainwell saw the field on 46.6% of the snaps from Weeks 13 through 17.
The Eagles draw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wild Card weekend. The Bucs are a top-five unit for rushing yards allowed this season (95.3 per game). If Brown (knee) and Hurts (finger) are out or less than 100 percent, Philadelphia may rely more on Swift and Gainwell on Monday night.
