Mets "Actively Trying" To Trade For Starting Pitching
11 months agoMLB's Mark Feinsand reported Monday that New York Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns is "actively trying" to trade for starting pitching this offseason. While the team has already made a few moves to bolster their rotation, they do not seem to be in the running for any remaining free agents but have recently been linked to White Sox starter Dylan Cease. It remains unclear if the desired target is to trade for high-end starters or rotation depth. The Mets currently have Kodai Senga, Jose Quintana, Luis Severino, Tylor Megill, Adrian Houser, Joey Lucchesi, and Sean Manaea as potential rotation options. Other than Senga, the potential fantasy value in the Mets' rotation will likely be sorted out through spring training, depending on whether they bring in any additional players.
