Jalen Hurts Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts couldn't find his footing in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. Hurts was 7-for-16 for 55 yards and an interception when he exited the game with a dislocated finger. Marcus Mariota replaced him.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Hurts had X-rays following the game and there was no fracture on the finger. That's a great sign for his availability for this week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hurts is currently considered day-to-day. The Eagles don't play until Monday night, so there's plenty of time for Jalen Hurts to get as close as he can to 100% before this game.
Jalen Hurts Fantasy Football Outlook
It's hard to really get a sense of what DFS players and playoff league managers can expect this weekend from Jalen Hurts, especially if he's not at 100%.
On one hand, Hurts has struggled lately. He's been picked off five times in the past four games and has thrown just four touchdowns in that span. Three of those games saw Hurts fail to throw a single touchdown pass. It's been a rough stretch for one of the NFL's best quarterbacks.
Still, a meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can be a get-right moment for Hurts. The Bucs pass defense has struggled all season, though it’s worth noting that Tampa picked Hurts off twice when these two teams met back in September.
