The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 8.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Tyrese Haliburton OVER 23.5 Points - On the heels of a modest 17-point performance vs. the Boston Celtics on January 6, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is due for a bounce-back game on Monday. Scoring a combined 27 points in Indiana's last two games, Haliburton comes as a prime candidate for an explosive night. As the line currently sits at 23.5 points for the All-NBA caliber guard, taking the over makes for a timely decision.
Giannis Antetokounmpo UNDER 36.5 Points - No matter how fast and powerful the train is, for the sake of the cargo, the engine must stop, at least momentarily. Following consecutive 40-plus point performances, Giannis Antetokounmpo comes into Monday's contest vs. the Utah Jazz as a locomotive from hell. As the laws of averages come into play, the 36.5-point line seems like a trap in a possible blowout game. I sense Antetokounmpo's steam is ready to rest as I project the two-time MVP will score under 36.5 points.

Collin Sexton OVER 4.5 Assists - Although Collin Sexton was never mistaken for a pass-first point guard, his last five games indicate he's trying to get his teammates involved. Averaging 5.8 assists in the aforementioned stretch, Monday sees Sexton lined up against a weak perimeter defense in the Milwaukee Bucks. Without legitimate defenders in the backcourt, I expect Sexton to cover the over on 4.5 assists easily.

DeMar DeRozan UNDER 0.5 Blocks - PrizePicks seemingly threw us a bone with a 0.5 block prop for Chicago Bulls veteran DeMar DeRozan. While DeRozan isn't as bad on defense as one would imagine, the USC alum registered only one block in his previous five outings. DeRozan lines up against the injury-riddled Charlotte Hornets and one of the worst teams in the league. Still, I see a game where DeRozan finishes the game without rejecting a shot. Take the under on 0.5 blocks for the former Toronto Raptor.
