11 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught one of three targets for a four-yard gain during the team's 10-27 loss to the New York Giants. The Eagles' offense was out of sync all game without DeVonta Smith (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (illness) but got even worse once A.J. Brown (knee) went down early in the contest. The natural thought would be to throw the ball to the next most talented receiver, but with Jalen Hurts (finger) being pulled once the game was out of reach, the 28-year-old was barely involved the rest of the game. Goedert could be a big part of the offense next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with the status of Brown and Smith currently unknown.
