What Is Mike McCarthy's Playoff History?
Mike McCarthy spent six seasons as an offensive coordinator before taking on the head coaching job of the Green Bay Packers back in 2006. He went 8-8 in that first season with the Packers missing the postseason.
McCarthy's team made its first playoff appearance in 2007, going 1-1 in the postseason. The team missed in 2008 before beginning a run of eight consecutive playoff appearances. That was snapped in 2017.
The Packers fired McCarthy in 2018. He sat out 2019 before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. After missing the playoffs in his first season with the team, McCarthy has led the Cowboys to the postseason in the past two seasons.
The Cowboys are heading to the playoffs again this season, with rumors swirling that McCarthy's future in Dallas depends on a strong postseason result for Dallas.
